Katia Kordek, MSS

Clinical Therapist

I conduct therapy with a person-centered, mindful, and relaxed approach. My best strength is meeting you where you are at, relating to you on a deeper level, and making sure you feel safe in our clinical setting. I thrive in outpatient settings, as I connect best on a weekly basis to ensure rapport is built. I support my clients in creating and building the best versions of themselves in whatever capacity is wanted and needed. I work with my clients to ensure they feel comfortable and empowered to take on their current struggles.

I was raised in Maine and studied psychology for my undergraduate degree. I then obtained my masters in Social Service from Bryn Mawr College. I have spent years working in different mental health agencies, including residential, inpatient, and outpatient settings. I specialize in treating teens and young adults with complex mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar. I work largely with humanistic, psychodynamic, and affirmative therapy modalities. I have lengthy personal and professional experience with the LGBTQIA+ community and body positivity.

I am the therapist that kicks off my shoes, is known to sit on the floor for sessions, and brings a level of comfortability that you may not have experienced before. In my free time I spend time with my partner, my 21 pound black cat, and cooking for loved ones. I also enjoy reality TV, baking sweet treats, and embroidery.
